Every culinary moment of pleasure at the Hotel Kiendl is the result of the interaction between the creativity of our kitchen team and the ingredients that surround our region. Our Italian kitchen team under the direction of our head chef Antonio Iervolino prepares an alpine-Mediterranean gourmet menu for you every day using fresh, high-quality South Tyrolean products.

Feel the first rays of sunshine at breakfast when the morning sun rises from the Ifinger and slowly illuminates Merano. Enjoy your breakfast and evening meal accompanied by the twittering of birds and the sound of water. Mediterranean plants, flowers, and blossomsin front of the scenery of our apple orchards and new vineyard, and a centuries-old chestnut treesurround the delightful locations at Kiendl.
Various types of bread from South Tyrolean master bakers, hearty homemade jams, cheese, speck and ham from local dairies and farms. Fragrant coffee and tea, cereals, muesli and fresh fruit as well as egg dishes prepared à la minute on request.
In the evening we treat you to a four-course menu with freshly prepared, home-made dishes. Every soup, every sauce, every broth, every spread is freshly prepared by our chefs, as are all our dishes, without using ready-made products. Ingredients are locally sourced whenever possible. Herbs and fruit come seasonally from our garden.
We produce our our pasta. Natural ingredients are used to produce homemade pasta in all variations: tagliolini, spaghetti, conchiglie, maltagliati, fusilli, maccheroni... All ravioli and fillings are home-made, as are the typical South Tyrolean ‘Schlutzkrapfen’.
A good glass of wine
We are happy to recommend the right wine to go with your menu. At the Hotel Kiendl we offer various South Tyrolean wines - choose your favourite! Whether red or white, fruity or fragrant, we have just the right one for your meal. Get to know more than ten wines from South Tyrolean winegrowers by the glass.
Our restaurant is closed on Tuesday evenings (except for the 4th of November and in winter). You will receive a credit of €20 per person for Tuesday evening. Enjoy our rich breakfast on Tuesday morning and the culinary delights of South Tyrol outside our hotel in the evening. We are happy to give every connoisseur the right recommendation for Tuesday evening: from traditional dishes such as Kaiserschmarrn and "Speckknödel "in an alpine hut or South Tyrolean inn, a delicious pizza or Italian pasta in a trattoria, to gourmet menus and Michelin-starred cuisine in fine dining restaurants...
In our spacious restaurant area with Nature Dining Room with tables for couples featuring large sliding windows that can be opened in summer, in modern, air-conditioned dining rooms and in our two 19th century traditional "Stuben", every guest will find their favourite spot.
